My Best Friend, My Lover, My Soulmate

I regret to inform friends and loved ones that Curtis passed away last night. I appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers. Curtis is everything to me, and I love him so very much. I just wanted his friends and loved ones to be informed. Thank you again for the love and support and prayers that were offered and continue to be.

  3. Nadine we continue to pray for you. It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating your wedding. Curtis was a good man who had an amazing encouraging effect on everyone he met. That is why it was usual for him to have friends like JD and me that had lasted 12+ years. He was quick to laugh, quicker to banter, and his love for sports was unparalleled until you came into his life. A good woman will make the best man even greater, and you were a testimony to that. We love you both, and pray God’s arms around you as you mourn. If Annie and I can be of assistance, please don’t hesitate to call – 602.481.9293

  4. Nadine I thought you would appreciate Jason Donoghue's post on our Fantasy Website. Curtis, JD, JD's dad, and myself, were the original members and had been going strong for 12 years.

    Hello everyone,

I had hoped, and feared I would never have to make a posting like this?ever. It is with a heavy heart, and many tears, I have to let you all know that we lost an ICON last night.
Curtis passed away around 1am after battling infection and complications related to the surgery he underwent to put in an artificial heart last week.

I had the fortune of being able to visit him before the surgery, and against overwhelming odds, and a lot of pain (he had just been shocked by his defibrillator) he was the same old Curtis, a few choice words for the doctors that were with him when it happened, but the same cheerful, smiling, ready to talk about fantasy sports Curtis we all knew and loved.

He always referred to himself as ?The People?s Champion?, but we all know he was our champion. A champion of good friendship, always there to talk, and the first to tell you that trade was horrible. A champion of always wearing a smile, even when we got the best of him one week or the next. A champion of ?the Curtis laugh?, you all know it, and I will never forget it.

Curtis, my man, you were one of the things I looked forward to the most when baseball or football season approached, and we will all miss you sorely. Things will most definitely not be the same without you.

  7. Nadine,
I don't even know where to begin I am so sorry to hear about Curtis I have met you once but Curtis has always spoken so highly of you and how much he truly loved you. I have known Curtis since 1999 and he was a incredible man. Such a loving heart and was always there when needed. He always brought that smile of his to our parties and events and lightened up the room with his laugh and humor. When he came to our pool parties he would just come in the house and talk to my mom for hours. He was so sweet to do that. Nadine I have to say thank you for loving our friend and being there with him til the end. He never thought he would find true love until he met you. I have never seen him so happy in my life. My thoughts and Prayers go to you and if you ever need anything please don't be afraid to ask any of us. He had a very caring crew out here..Hugs

  8. Curtis, Curtis, Curtis...what can I say but you crack me up. I KNOW with your great desire to keep tabs on the Noteworld/Meracord happenings you must be laughing your booty off at what is going on right now. The story of you I thought I would share is when I pissed you off. Your Dr's. told you that you could not eat "bad food" anymore. Rachael told us that if anyone who found out that you were to tell her immediately. Everyone around you went to get Phyllys and you had someone pick one up for you. I told Rachael and she scolded you....lol you didn't talk to me for 2 days. I love this memory because it showed your stubbornness and you forgave me because you KNOW I cant help trying to be a mom. By the way, I would do it again...so there!!! You never griped and were always "fine". Even though I divorced you as my friend on a daily basis for laughing at and teasing me, I will miss you, my gossip buddy. And don't worry I will protect your "sources". You told me that I should not root against my hubby on a football game cause I should be supportive.
Love you so truly and dearly. Say hay to God for me and ask him to help the Seahawks go all the way next season.
    Leslie
